Ensayos de germinación en especies de Ononis L. (Fabaceae) del SW de España

lnformation on the germinative capacity of seeds belonging to eight taxa of Ononis, from the SW of Spain is given (O. espinosa subsp. australis, O. pinnata, O. broterana, O. natris, O. biflora, O. mollis, O. pubescens and O. viscosa subsp. crotalarioides). Seed dormancy and the efficacy of sulphuric acid as a scarifier are verified. The influence in the process of the length of scarification or the light conditions are also analyzed. Acid immersion for 90 minutes followed by dark incubation is proposed as the most effective treatment in general terms. Information on the kinetics of the process is also given.
